Officers were patrolling the 700 block of Main Street on September 26, 2024, at about 18:54 hours. One officer saw a car moving erratically and breaking a mechanical vehicle code. At that moment, the officer stopped the car for traffic violations.
The driver of this car gave the cop permission to search the car during the traffic stop. Officers found a loaded weapon with no serial number and a large magazine while they were searching the car.
People often call these pistols “ghost guns.” During the investigation, it was found that the gun belonged to a 14-year-old child.
The child was arrested and taken to Tehama County Juvenile Hall on the following charges:
24610 PC, 25400(a)(1) PC, 29610(a) PC, and 32310(a) PC.
