A Canadian Walmart store was closed for a third day Tuesday as police investigated the death of a woman whose body was found inside an oven.
Halifax Nova Scotia Regional Police said in a statement that they were called to the store at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday and found the 19-year-old woman dead in a walk-in oven in the bakery area.
Officials from the police force said they still do not know what killed the woman who worked at the store or what her name is.
The woman was part of the Sikh group in the area.
The investigation is “complex” and “involves several partner agencies,” according to Halifax Regional Police. The police told people not to guess about what caused her death.
The government said in a statement, “We urge the public to be careful about sharing speculative information on social media.” “The rumors about the woman could hurt her family, coworkers, and people she cares about,” he said.
