As of early October, the body of a woman from Middleburg Heights, Ohio was found stuffed inside luggage in Las Vegas. This was confirmed by a Berea City School District representative.
The representative said that Kristen Avelar, who is 46 years old, did graduate from Midpark High School in 1996.
Just before 4:20 p.m. on October 3, Las Vegas police were called to Spencer Street and East Reno Avenue, near Harry Reid International Airport, because someone said they saw a body.
Police found the body of a woman named Avelar in a luggage bag near an apartment building in the area when they got there.
The murder section of the LVMPD is now in charge of the investigation because Avelar’s death was “suspicious.”
