Police in Wisconsin have arrested a 20-year-old father for allegedly throwing his baby while playing video games. Jalin White, 20, allegedly became enraged while losing at NBA 2K and threw his 8-month-old son into a wall.
When the baby’s mother returned home later that day, she appeared to notice something was wrong with him. The unnamed mother reportedly took the baby to her father, who called 911 for assistance.
WISN got a copy of the criminal complaint that says White told police a lot of lies before he finally admitted that he threw the baby. Sadly, an investigation showed that the baby had signs of being abused in the past. White is now being charged with felony child abuse.
At first, White allegedly told a different story about what happened.
According to the criminal complaint, White kept making up reasons for why the baby was hurt. First, he said that the baby’s mother hit him in the head with a door frame.
He also said that the baby got hurt when it fell while being changed. The father later said he dropped the child while playing video games. He did tell the police what had happened in the end, though.
White reportedly threw the infant out of frustration.
White was said to have said, “My son hit his head on the wall.” Brother, he hit his head hard on the wall.
“I swear he hit his head hard on the wall” and “I heard the wall! It hit his head hard.” It was tough. The complaint says, “It was a loud, hard wall, and I heard the wall hit him after I threw him.”
The infant suffered serious injuries.
