A 55-year-old Westchester County man was stabbed to death early Monday morning inside a ritzy Queens nightclub after an argument with the suspect, according to police and law enforcement sources.
Around 2:20 a.m., Percy Forrest from Port Chester was stabbed in the chest at the Agenda Restaurant and Lounge in Astoria. He was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital soon after being taken there, according to the police.
Sources say that the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed Forrest while the victim and suspect were arguing.
The suspect then walked away from the scene. Sources say that a person of interest was arrested near the nightclub.
Police have not yet said what charges they will bring in this case as of Monday evening.
As of right now, it was not clear if the victim and the suspect were clubgoers or employees.
As of Monday, the crime scene was blocked off with police tape.
“It is really sad.” “Look, this is not a bad neighborhood,” said Ramo Besi, who runs the pizza shop across the street, Mela Pizza.
“Even the club itself.” There are only good people coming in. It is terrible.
Besi said that the nightclub was “one of the most beautiful places in all of Queens.”
He told The Post, “Go inside, you will see.” “Very nice kitchen, nice dining room, nice everything.”
A worker at a nearby gas station said he was not shocked by the violence that killed people. He said that during busy times, the scene can get “hectic.”
Grouper, 47, told The Post, “I knew something was going to happen with that club too.” “You know, the valet place is outside.” A lot of crap is going on. Too many people.
A worker at the fancy lounge, which is also known as a Latin restaurant, would not say anything when called Monday.
