A shocking video shows armed gangsters storming a Mexican wedding and shooting a guest as the terrified bride prepares to throw her bouquet.
According to video obtained by Jam Press, the bride was filmed holding the flowers while standing on a chair next to her new husband when at least five men stormed their reception at the Casino del Pueblo in Xalapa on Saturday.
“What happened?” asks the cameraman as things go badly at the party.
The gunman then tried to kidnap wedding guest Vladimir Zúñiga Calzada, who was on the dance floor and was suspected of trafficking people, shooting him dead when he would not leave, the report said. Two more were hurt by gunfire, according to the authorities.
Graphic pictures show a man in a suit who is clearly bleeding heavily from gunshot wounds to his chest.
“Three people were shot at the wedding,” said José Manuel Hernández Pérez, mayor of Jalapa. “One was seriously wounded and lost his life.”
Need To Know says he said the wedding site is blocked off with ropes and being watched while the police continue to look into what happened.
“We are completely and totally helping the families who have been affected and hope to give them information,” Perez said.
“We hope that our country will soon have the peace that we need so badly.”
At a press conference, the deputy prosecutor for the State Attorney General’s Office said that Calzada is thought to be involved in illegal activities, such as trafficking people. It is said that the suspects showed up in five vans.
