The relationship between Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein has been a source of contention since Epstein’s crimes became public.
Clinton is about to release a new book called “Citizen” in which he discusses meeting Epstein and his desire never to have done so in the first place
The Sun said that Clinton writes about how he flew on Epstein’s private plane, which is also known as the Lolita Express. The news source says that Clinton used Epstein’s plane to raise money for the Clinton Foundation in 2002 and 2003.
The two men talked about politics and the economy. He says he has never been to Little Saint James, which is also called Epstein Island.
“I had always thought Epstein was odd but had no inkling of the crimes he was committing,” Clinton said.
“He hurt a lot of people, but I did not know about it. I had not talked to him in years by the time he was arrested for the first time in 2005.” I have never been to his island.”
Clinton only talked about the flights, but he also met with Epstein twice, once at Clinton’s office in Harlem and again at Epstein’s apartment in New York. Ghislaine Maxwell also said that Clinton never went to the island during her 2016 deposition.
“The allegation that Clinton had a meal on Jeffrey’s island is 100 per cent false,” he said. “I am sure he had a meal on Jeffrey’s plane.”
Even though Epstein helped him, Bill Clinton thinks about all the criticism and questions he has been asked over the years.
“The bottom line is, even though it allowed me to visit the work of my foundation, traveling on Epstein’s plane was not worth the years of questioning afterward,” he said. “I wish I had never met him”
Clinton’s writings seem to match up with a statement he made through a spokesperson in 2019.
“In 2002 and 2003, President Clinton took a total of four trips on Jeffrey Epstein’s airplane: one to Europe, one to Asia, and two to Africa, which included stops in connection with the work of the Clinton Foundation,” it says.
“He is not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade and has never been to Little St. James Island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico, or his residence in Florida.”
Jeff Epstein died in his jail cell on August 10, 2019, in the year 2019. Authorities said that Epstein killed himself, but his lawyers disagreed, adding to the ongoing debate about the convicted criminal.
