So all of the predictions and scenarios for the College Football Playoff are starting to fall apart at the same time.
The top ACC teams do not seem to play each other, and the SEC teams will start beating each other up. Boise State could utterly mess everything up by winning and getting the fourth seed.
What about Notre Dame, though? Now that Arizona, Utah, and Oklahoma State have crashed, how many other Big 12 teams will get the call? Here are our most recent predictions for the College Football Playoff right up until Week 12.
CFP Projections: Week 10
Here is our prediction for the final top 25 rankings of the College Football Playoff. Most of this is pretty simple. Three of the top four spots look like they will go to the Big Ten, the SEC, and the ACC. But what if Boise State wins?
We think the top Group of Five champion, which in this case would be Boise State, will be the fourth-highest ranked champion. That means it will get the fourth seed, and the Big 12 champion will get the spot it falls in the rankings.
But first, here’s how we think the first round will go.

Some of the best teams from the College Football Playoff play in bowl games. The winner from 8 to 9 plays the 1, the winner from 7 to 10 plays the 2, the winner from 6 to 11 gets the 3, and the winner from 5 to 12 gets the 4. There is NO reseeding.
Which means that being the 1 or 2 might not be a reward if the first round goes badly. If it is possible, the Big Ten champion will play in the Rose Bowl and the SEC champion will play in the Sugar Bowl.
