It was recently confirmed by the Social Security Administration (SSA) that some beneficiaries will be able to get a new disability benefit payment in November.
If you are currently getting Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits, you may already know that there is an annual schedule that has all the specific dates for when each program pays.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is in charge of four different programs and sends money to more than 70 million people who are eligible. To make sure everyone knows when their check will arrive, they made an annual schedule.
Social Security announced a new disability benefit payment
People who are eligible for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) will begin getting four payments on November 3rd. Today, everyone who is disabled and claims their first disability benefit payment will get their monthly payment.
Furthermore, disabled Americans who filed after the aforementioned date will receive their payments in a way that depends on their individual birthdates. To learn more about the November disability payments that are coming, read on:

Social Security payment amounts available for disabled people
The Social Security Administration gives disabled people in the US different payment amounts right now so they can have enough money to cover their costs of living and keep up with inflation.
One example is that disabled people will get an average of $1,537 a month in disability benefits. Blind people will get $2,590, and the most they can get is $3,22 a month. The cost of living adjustment of 3.4% for 2024 is already built into these dates.
There will be a new COLA, which was set at 2.5% on October 10th by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, so this will soon change. This means that disabled people will get the following amounts of money next year:
Social Security payments | Disability benefits |
On average | $1,537 |
Other payments | Blind recipients: $2,590
Maximum payment: $3,822 |
New requirements to be implemented in the SSDI program
The Social Security Administration (SSA) recently said that they will add more rules to its compassionate allowance program in order to speed up disability claims.
The Social Security Administration said on Monday that nine more requirements would be added for compassionate allowances and that two of the original classifications would be changed.
The Department of Labor said in a statement that the Compassionate Allowances program quickly decides if a person’s disease or medical condition meets Social Security’s legal definition of disability.
Because many of these disorders are so serious, medical proof alone is often enough to back up these claims. So far, this streamlined, policy-compliant disability process has helped more than a million people with severe disabilities get into the country.
It currently includes more than 280 conditions.
