A doctor was struck off after it was found that he urinated in the sink in a consultation room and did not follow the rules for his registration.
Graham Evangele Eli Michael Holmes worked as a locum consultant in Hampshire, Dorset, Greater Manchester and the Wirral.
His words to a woman that she needed a CT scan “to see if she had a brain” were also heard in court.
The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) said there was “no evidence of an acknowledgment, appreciation of, or apology for his proven serious misconduct.”
Its court found that Dr. Holmes worked at several hospitals from August 2019 to March 2021.
In August 2019, at the Gosport War Memorial Hospital in Hampshire, a coworker said she heard Dr. Holmes telling the woman she needed the scan, but the patient did not hear.
In his 70s, Dr. Holmes told the regulator that he could not remember if he said that or not.
Someone else who works at the same hospital said that they saw him urinate into the sink while pouring water from a cup down it through an internal window.
People were worried that he might not follow the Covid-19 infection control rules when he worked at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital in Dorset in 2020.
In 2020, he worked at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan, Greater Manchester, and a manager told him he was the “worst member of staff” because he was not really wearing his mask.
It was also found that Dr. Holmes had willfully ignored the conditions that were put on his registration for six weeks while he worked for the Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust in 2021.
The regulator said he did that on purpose and that it was the “most serious” part of his wrongdoing.
