People who get SSDI will get one of the four checks that will be sent out in November. You have to have applied and been approved by the Agency, among other things, in order to be qualified for any of them.
Disability payouts can be made with either Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) . Sometimes, they might split the pay with some good people. In November, the same thing will happen.
SSI and SSDI on November 1, 2024
On November 1, everyone who gets SSI will get their monthly payment. People who get Social Security Disability Insurance may get more than one payment. This Federal check or direct deposit could be one of them.
If your SSDI payment is due on November 3, you will get your check or direct deposit early. Just so you know, November 3 is not a work day, so it can’t be a Disability Insurance payday.
Because of this, SSA had to move this Disability Insurance payment to the previous Friday, which was a work day. Then, qualified people will get their disability payment on November 1, 2024, instead of November 3, 2024.
November 1: One SSDI payment and one SSI payment
To get two payments on November 1, you need to:
- qualify for SSI &
- be eligible for SSDI simultaneously
- do not break any Social Security rules to remain eligible
Remember that the 2.5% COLA increase that Social Security announced on October 10 will not be included in any of the November SSI or SSDI payouts. People on SSI will not get the more money in COLA until December 31.
People who get SSDI will not get the cost-of-living raise until January 2025. SSI recipients can get up to $3,822 a month, but most get around $1,539 a month.
SSI recipients can get up to $943 a year, or around $698 a month. Extra Help for Married People can get up to $1,415 a month from Supplemental Security Income. People will get up to $967 a month and couples will get up to $1,450 a month after the COLA rise.
