Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have surprised fans with a number of solo appearances. Following their highly publicized trip to Colombia, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been making independent public appearance
Recently, there have been more famous solo ventures. Meghan was first photographed having fun at a gathering without Harry to celebrate the launch of her friend and hair colorist Kadi Lee’s new haircare collection.
She was seen posing for photos with Kadi and fellow hairstylist Serge Normant. Days later, Harry made an impromptu solo trip to Canada, where he watched the Grey Cup final in Vancouver and was featured on TV coverage of the big Canadian football championship.
This visit comes only months before Vancouver co-hosts the 2025 Invictus Games. According to sources close to the couple, Harry’s solo travels are owing to his focus on charity work, while Meghan pursues business interests.
According to the Mirror, the pair made one rare joint appearance when they presented a video message about prioritizing children’s internet safety, which was shown at a United Nations meeting in Colombia on eliminating violence against children.
Judi James, a body language specialist, confirmed to the Mirror that the chemistry between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has changed noticeably. It was noted: “Harry and Meghan’s relationship seems to have evolved from a totally twinned one, where their body language was confined to appearances as a matching, complimentary and very royal-looking double act, to one that resembles the shape of a letter Y; joined and twinned at the base but also separating into two individuals moving into two rather separate professional directions.”
She went on to explain, “The newly’sole trader’ body language displays must be mixed with appearances that characterize and accentuate the base of the ‘Y’. Theirs has always been framed as a love tale with a romantic core, and seeing them alone still gives the impression of a missing limb, owing to their previously continual love of touch, tie-signs, and other PDAs to offer a sympathetic narrative that the world enjoys watching.”
James continued: “The recent ‘base of the Y’ appearance was a rather formal and regal video appearance where Meghan threw Harry constant affectionate-looking glances to register besotted encouragement while he spoke, and Harry, more formally, failed to respond in kind apart from one rather rigidly extended arm placed around his wife’s back on the cue of the word ‘together’.”
“The message was clearly one of ongoing relationships and togetherness, but for fans of Harry and Meghan’s intensely romantic body language rituals, it was rather thin gruel. It will be disappointing for their supporters if, despite their enduringly strong and loving marriage, they have decided to tone down the PDAs.”
Despite this adjustment, Judi feels Harry and Meghan appear “happy, confident, and comfortable” despite spending so much time apart. She noted, “Meghan’s body language appears comfortable from her days as an actor and celebrity. Posing with her friends, she adopts a’shoulder-climb’ stance, clinging to one and resting her head against hers with a warm, uniting smile. She also appears to be enjoying herself as she mingles with the others at what appears to be a party.
“Harry’s body language in Canada reveals him in his element: calm, eager, jovial, and clearly relishing the applause of the enormous crowd. Gazing up at the stadium crowd expresses a cheerful desire to bask in their attention and increase his own status. His thumbs-up gesture is an informal way to express mutual liking and ‘everything is OK’. When Harry sits to be interviewed, he uses a partial splay to register power and confidence, placing one hand on his hip and extending his elbow outwards.”
