A new report claims that Donald Trump “exploded” after viewing a dossier on one of his campaign aides.
One member of Trump’s orbit wrote a tell-all book detailing alleged infighting on that team, and now he is in line to get his foot in the door of the next Trump administration, and “the fangs are out,” according to Politico.
This was the last time Cliff Sims was this close to being president.
He came up with an unforgettable phrase to describe the vicious group of people around Donald Trump: it was a “Team of Vipers,” which is what he called his 2019 autobiography.
Sims is now an important part of Trump’s transition team, which shows that he knows how to get around the old “snake pit,” the report says.

Two “well-placed Republicans” who spoke to the news source without giving their names said Trump barely recognized Sims and asked for information about him.
“Trump lost it when an aide put a folder of clips about Sims and his book on his desk. According to someone who was there, Trump was “beyond pissed” and demanded that he be fired, the report says.
“Yet as of Friday, Sims remains on the job — and could be in line for a plum administration post.”
Some people close to Trump, like J.D. Vance, spoke out in support of Sims, but Politico reports that other people are still worried about his possible job in the new president’s administration.
