Though not all participants receive their SNAP payments on the same day, all eligible users receive monthly payments. Money from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps families that might otherwise find it difficult to buy groceries.
Each state manages SNAP payments in their way, using the payment schedule that works best for them, even though the federal government provides the cash.

Some American households will receive D-SNAP payments due to Hurricane Helene
D-SNAP is a program that helps people who have been affected by natural disasters.
In October and November, people who live in certain areas in several states that were hit by Hurricane Helene will be able to apply for payments even if they would not normally be eligible.
This help is projected to help about 982,930 households in Georgia, 152,572 households in North Carolina, and 54,692 households in Tennessee, according to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The USDA also said that this aid is meant to help around 982,930 families in Georgia, 54,692 households in Tennessee, and 152,572 households in North Carolina. The recent hurricanes have caused a lot of trouble in people’s lives.
Secretary Tom Vilsack said in a press release on October 15 that the USDA is committed to making sure that families, farms, and communities impacted by the hurricanes get the help they need, including help with grocery costs.
The USDA and the rest of the Biden-Harris Administration will do everything they can to help you react, recover, and rebuild.
