There are obviously massive benefits to celebrity life in a fish bowl, among those being – in the case of pop icon Taylor Swift – the ability to amass a net worth of $1.6 billion.
The drawback of famous living in a fishbowl, as Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce have discovered all too clearly? Irresponsible speculation regarding the private lives of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the world-famous singer.
Much has been made of Swift’s recent decision not to attend either of the team’s past two road trips. But following this week’s Monday night triumph at Arrowhead Stadium, Kelce and Swift went out to a neighborhood club to celebrate.
What happened after the pair posed for a few gorgeous shots during their “personal time”? That’s when things got crazy for the “swifties” and Chiefs supporters alike.
One shot shows the singer posing in front of Kelce while they embrace, their hands wrapped around her midsection. However, something about Kelce’s hand placement threw some folks off.
Travis’ hand is near her stomach. Many fans are already making irresponsible assumptions about what it all implies, leading to wild speculation that Swift is pregnant with Kelce’s child.
According to the United States Sun, one social media commenter perfectly summed up the idiocy here.
“Okay, but why does this evoke pregnancy announcement vibes? Help. No, I am not suggesting she is! “And it’s none of our business,” one fan wrote.
There is no official news on whether Swift is actually pregnant, but we have an educated guess. And all we have to do is look at Taylor’s other hand, which is not being held by Kelce. In that hand, she is clutching a drink, which is really unusual for a pregnant woman.
Swift and Kelce are having a blast together. During this bye week (see our Chiefs Rooting Guide here), they reportedly flew to the East Coast so Kelce could film a scene in Adam Sandler’s movie “Happy Gilmore 2,” and while in New York, they double-dated with actresses Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. And discussions about that stuff? Fair game. Part of the fish bowl. Discussions about pregnancy, though? A line of illogic, at the very least, is being crossed here.
