Jason Kelce got some shut-eye during an Eras Tour gig in Miami, sleeping through Taylor Swift’s energetic performance. Tickets to Swift’s Eras Tour have been notoriously in high demand, with fans organizing to take their dissatisfaction all the way to Congress, so snoozing while many die-hard Swifties are unable to obtain tickets is surely an option.
Kelce, a former center for the Philadelphia Eagles and the older brother of Swift’s fiancé Travis Kelce, has previously attended Eras shows. Beau Allen, one of Kelce’s former teammates, shared the nap time photo on X, which shows Kelce asleep in his seat with the caption “Sometimes I feel like everyone is a sexy baby and I’m a monster on a hill.”
While some dismissed the incident as typical fatherly behavior, many Swift fans were outraged. “PLEASE JASON, WE’RE LIKE 40 MINS IN,” said one X user. Kelce wasn’t out for the night, though, as a follow-up photo from a fan showed him up and dancing with his daughter Ellie to “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” – supposedly his favorite Swift song, according to Us Magazine.
Jason Kelce is a total girl dad — which means liking Taylor Swift
It’s apparent that listening to Swift songs is an important aspect of Kelce’s loving relationship with his three daughters. While it wasn’t Kelce’s first Eras show, it was the first for his three girls, who came with him, his wife, Kylie Kelce, and his mother, Donna Kelce. The females can be seen in the background of Kelce’s sleeping portrait, and they appear to be enjoying the performance.
On an episode of “The Pivot Podcast,” Kelce said that his daughter Ellie is a huge Taylor Swift fan. “That’s all I hear on a daily basis,” Kelce explained.
Ellie changed a verse in Swift’s song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” from her album “The Tortured Poets Department” to make it more kid-friendly. “I’m a real tough kid / I can handle my stuff.” “It gets a laugh out of me every time,” he told me.
