Jimmy Fallon is a furball of electrifying energy, and Thanksgiving would not be complete without him showing up to the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade in an overcoat and sunglasses.
However, today, the host of The Tonight Show appeared to be all over the place. He stopped by to chat with hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie about his new Christmas album, Holiday Seasoning.
Fallon usually wears sunglasses during the day, but today the ETSU marching band got in the way of his interview, making it hard for him to hear the hosts. The hosts tried to ask Fallon a fan question, but he could not hear them over all the noise.
Before the interview ended quickly, he even said, “I can not hear you.” This was the early morning segment. Its purpose is to make the parade broadcast more exciting and lively, and the Saturday Night Alum is a great choice for that.
But it turned out to be a “awkward” way to start the day, and Fallon was wearing sunglasses on top of that.
Ironically, not only did people question his sobriety, even if they did not have a good reason to, but he quickly became a silent symbol for someone who is drunk but still seems very active.
“Jimmy Fallon wearing sunglasses in the rain is the big hangover energy America can relate to today,” said an X (formerly Twitter) user, who said exactly how many of us felt after watching Fallon today.
Someone else wrote, “I need a little of whatever Jimmy Fallon had this morning,” which was very funny.
Jimmy Fallon Showed Up to 2023’s Thanksgiving Parade in Same Attire
In almost the exact same outfit, Fallon went to the same show and event around the same time last year, on November 23, 2023. But the only difference is that day it was sunny, while today it is cloudy and rainy in New York.
The fans are either right, or Fallon knows that those shades and black coats make him look good, so he chose to wear them again this year.
Last year, Fallon and Meghan Trainor were celebrating the success of their song “Wrap Me Up.” Today, it was his whole Christmas album.
It goes without saying that the sound problem and the fan question being cut off during the early morning segment, which is supposed to make people feel bad, shocked viewers.
No matter what, we are sure Fallon meant well and was glad that his positive energy was spreading. You could watch live streams of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Peacock and on NBC. You can also watch clips of the parade on YouTube.
