A 38-year-old Ohio man was arrested on November 8 after investigators from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office discovered he was communicating with minors aged 15 and 16.
It is alleged that Ryan Loveless crossed state lines to Illinois to have sexual relations with the teenage girls. He planned to bring his infant child with him because he could not find childcare.
Investigators found that Loveless had booked a hotel room and told the teens to drive to Danville, IL, and enter through a side door so as not to be seen.
Once they had enough proof, the Knox County State’s Attorney’s Office issued a warrant for Loveless’ arrest.
In a press release, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office said, “Thanks to good communication, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office, and the Danville Police Department were able to work together to find Loveless in the Danville hotel parking lot, where he was arrested.”
After being checked out by a doctor, the child was released to family members.
There are many charges against Loveless right now. He is accused of four counts of indecent solicitation of a child, two counts of traveling to meet a child, and two counts of grooming.
