Pacman Jones, who once played for the Cowboys during his 13-year NFL career, returned to Dallas for the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight. Pacman ended up getting into some trouble.
Lawrence Merola of TheAthletic.com says that Jones was arrested on Saturday morning after the fight.
Among other things, he was charged with assaulting a police officer, being drunk in public, evading arrest, and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Arlington City Jail.
It is said that he got into a fight at the bar of the Live! by Loews hotel, which is about a half mile from AT&T Stadium.
According to the report, the fight was told to an Arlington police officer who arrived at the hotel. The police officer went to the scene and saw that Jones and some other people were separated.
He is said to have “kept coming up to and yelling at the others involved.” The police officer stepped in and told Jones that he would be arrested if he kept trying to fight the other people.
Not long after that, there was another fight. Jones “hit the officer on the arm” when the officer and hotel security tried to stop the fight. Just as she tried to handcuff Jones, he got away and began walking away. When more police arrived, they arrested Jones.
Jones has tried his hand at media since he retired. He has been on Pat McAfee’s show and, more recently, he started his own podcast.
There may be surveillance video that can help a lot with figuring out what really happened in this case.
