Missouri is still alive for big things. It got blasted by Texas A&M and roasted by Alabama, but it had two weeks off to heal up, November isn’t that bad – at South Carolina, at Mississippi State, Arkansas – and there’s a real chance to sneak into the College Football Playoff top 12 by winning out and going 10-2.
On the flip side, Oklahoma is trying to get bowl eligible. At 5-4 with three games left the Sooner still have plenty of time to get that sixth win, but the last two games are Alabama and at LSU. So it’s not crazy to think that this is a must-win, or else.

Why Oklahoma Will Win
Missouri’s offense isn’t totally broken, but it’s not well.
QB Brady Cook has been hurt – and is iffy at best for this – and the defense hasn’t picked up the slack.
The passing game has been strange over the last two games – it didn’t do anything against Alabama – and the ground game stalled against Texas A&M and Auburn and has been a bit too inconsistent.
For all of Oklahoma’s issues, the defense continues to be solid starting with the run D. Texas ran for close to six yards per carry, and now one else has been able to get close to four yards per run. Mizzou will have to grind away because the passing game …
Why Missouri Will Win
It is all right.
Even though Drew Pyne had a bad game against Alabama (6 of 12 for 42 yards and 3 picks), he was under a lot of pressure the whole time. He did not have much time to work because of the offensive line, but they need to keep hitting him.
When the Tigers can run the ball 40 times, they are 3-0 and beat Boston College and Vanderbilt. Oklahoma’s offense is worse off than Missouri’s. In their last three SEC games, they have only scored 26 points. So…
Oklahoma vs Missouri: Who Will Win?
They will try to run the ball to make the passing game easier, but it will not work.
Missouri’s pass defense, which gives up only 165 yards per game, is second in the country. Their run defense is not very good, though.
In the six wins, the team gave up 146 yards or less in rushing, but in the two losses, they gave up 236 yards or more. OK has not run for more than 236 yards against any FBS team yet.
