Oregon State was having a great time until they lost to Nevada 42–37. Along with beating a bad Purdue team, it could use a second big win. It is still on track to get to six wins and a bowl game.
Next is a trip to Cal, and the last game of the season is at Boise State. To get to six wins, those two have to come from somewhere. But beating UNLV would be a big deal. San Jose State and Air Force should be able to do it.
Next week, the Rebels play Boise State of the USA. Finishing strong with wins at Hawaii, San Diego State, San Jose State, and Nevada is a good sign.
They are still in the running for a spot in the College Football Playoff, but they can not make a mistake anywhere else.
