Your record says that you are who you say you are.
Do Colorado and Cincinnati really have that much going for them? They are both 5-2, playing well, and are very much in the running for the Big 12 Championship.
It was only four points between the two games that Cincinnati lost. Last week, it beat a tough Arizona State team, and this week, it faced and beat UCF on the road. Now, it has a chance to make a huge national statement.
The next four games are all away from home, with dates at Iowa State and Kansas State.
Colorado may have a lot of issues, but once more… 5-2. It is scary to think about next week at Texas Tech, but all of a sudden, the last kick does not look so bad.

Why Cincinnati Will Win
When Colorado tries to pass, the pass rush will keep coming.
The Buffaloes keep making plays, so it does not seem to matter much. But Cincinnati will keep bringing the heat. You can not beat Colorado that way. You need to use fire to fight fire.
The offense in Cincinnati can keep up with the other teams, and the passing game has been great in shootouts. The defense on third downs is also good enough.
Controlling the beat will also be very important in this. The Bengals will have the ball for more than 33 minutes, which should wear down Buffalo’s defense, but
Why Colorado Will Win

Even though Cincinnati’s defense lets up a lot of yards—the worst in the Big 12—Shedeur Sanders might not be able to run for 300 yards. Along with a better running game, it should be more about being consistent.
Colorado will never be as good as Army, but they are finally making some changes to the system so Sanders does not get sacked every play.
They ran 42 times against Baylor and 39 times last week against Arizona.
Even though the team only gains 2.7 yards per run because of sacks and tackles for loss, the ground attack can help calm things down a bit. This is important since…
Colorado vs Cincinnati: Who Will Win
The running teams are more of a problem for Cincinnati’s defense than the fast passing teams. Still, it is been able to stay in game after game.
The Bearcats are 0-2 when they give up more than 440 yards of offense and 5-0 when they give up less than that.
No matter how much fun it is, Colorado has not gotten 440 yards against any FBS team since going over 500 against North Dakota State. That is six games in a row.
But there is another side.
They are 5-0 when they get 360 yards or more and 0-2 when they don’t. Five of Cincinnati’s seven games, all three of which were on the road, they gave up more than 360 points.
