Yes, Colorado does offer a lot.
Now what? Beat Oklahoma State, BYU, Arizona State, or Iowa State, and then… boom. It is probably the third seed in the College Football Playoff.
The Buffaloes have gotten better as the season has gone on. They have been great in the month since losing to Kansas State.
Okay, so the best win this year was… What, Texas Tech? Big Bear? State of Colorado?
As long as Coach Prime’s team keeps winning, no one will mind.
Does Kansas have the power to mess up the system again? It did almost everything for weeks except win. Then it caused Iowa State a lot of trouble by beating BYU. Now, if it can get past the Buffaloes, it could ruin all the fun.

Why Colorado Will Win
All of a sudden, the defense against running plays is great.
Even though it played a lot of teams that can not run, it did a great job against Texas Tech, held Utah to 31 yards on 30 carries, and brought it against a Utes offense that is having trouble with the quarterback.
Now it faces a great Kansas ground game that was held in check by BYU last week.
Then there is Shedeur.
Everyone is giving Travis Hunter the Heisman, but Deion Sanders’ son is really the better candidate, even if he does not agree.
He has a few more picks than he did last year, but he still completes 72% of his throws and makes all the right choices. Considering all the attention on the Buffaloes, he may even be underrated. But…
Why Kansas Will Win
Sanders knows how to deal with strong pass-rushing teams and does not mind getting hit, but Kansas’s regular ability to get behind the line could be a problem.
This is not about the Jayhawk defense, though.
The offense may have had trouble against BYU, but it is almost perfectly balanced, and the ground game usually gains more than five yards per carry. Now Colorado has to play against a real offense that can put up a lot of yards at once.
Colorado lost to Nebraska and Kansas State. How did that happen? Two of the three times Colorado let a run go over 4.2 yards was during those games. KSU has only been stopped once from running for less than 4.6 yards.
Colorado vs Kansas: Who Will Win?
Kansas just isn’t consistent enough.
It was able to rip up Iowa State with a big offensive day, and it’ll put up big numbers on the Buffaloes, but it hasn’t faced too many high-powered passing games.
TCU threw its way to a win over KU, Illinois was accurate enough to get by, and Shedeur will be too good in the second half to overcome a rough first 30 minutes.
