You might be getting Social Security, but on November 27, you might not get your regular payment.
You might have gotten your check or direct deposit on November 1, 13, or 20. Don’t stress about it; you should pay on time. If you are supposed to get paid on November 27, and you don’t, call your bank.
If it is been more than three mailing days, you should call SSA. Some banks may take a little longer to send payments.
On December 3, people who are retired will start getting money that was due on November 27. On November 29, 2024, people who get Supplemental Security Income will begin getting it.
December 3 is the first day that qualified retirees will get their Social Security payment
Two very different groups of people will get a check or deposit on the third of next month. To get money on that date, you can do any of the following:
Please note that SSI will be paid on December 1, and Social Security will be paid on December 3, if you got Social Security before May 1997, or if you get both.
There will be three more payments for qualified retirees after the ones on December 3. On December 11, 18, and 24, they will be sent out. Of course, you have to give your birth date. If you were born between 1 and 10, check the 11th.
Those born between November 11 and December 20 will be celebrated on December 18, and the rest will be celebrated on December 24.
Amounts of Social Security after November 27 and information about the last payment
The last time the Agency talked about a worker’s average payment was in November, and the amount they gave was for October. Most checks should be a little higher next month.
The COLA fact sheet shows that is true; it says that the average amount before the raise will be about $1,927. $4,873 is the most that can be paid in December.
People who are retired will not get their last payment on a Wednesday in December. Checks will not be sent out on December 25, which is a federal holiday, so this is why. They will be sent out on December 24 instead.
