The monthly payment that the Social Security Administration (SSA) planned for people who get Supplemental Security Income will be sent to them soon. SSI will be sent out with two different November paychecks.
It is possible for everyone to get two checks or direct transfers in November. In fact, there will not be any extra or prize money. The plan had to be changed by SSA.
Social Security planned to send SSI funds on November 1 and 29
On November 1, 2024, your first payment from Supplemental Security Income will be sent to your bank account. Of course, only people who applied, were accepted, and are still eligible can get it.
On November 29, you will have another chance to get SSI money from the government. But it is for December, so put it away and do not spend too much when you get it.
I have good news for people who get both SSI and SSDI. There will be no payment on November 3, 2024. Instead, it will be November 1, 2024. Since the 3rd is a Sunday, it needs to be sent on a work day.
The most that SSI can pay in November
The 2025 COLA raise will not be added to any payments in November. This means that everyone will have to wait longer to get the help they need. There you go—the extra money will not arrive until December 31, 2024.
As of January 2024, this is the most you can get from SSI:
- $943 for people.
- $1,415 for the married
- $472 for someone important
It looks like married people will get the most money from SSI in just 8 days. After that, on November 29, will get a new payment for December. They will be used for the first time on December 31, 2024.
$967 after the COLA for people
$1,450 after COLA for the two of them
$484 for an important person after COLA
