The city of Wisconsin Rapids (WSAW) A guy from Wisconsin Rapids, 40 years old, is likely to be charged with attempted murder after a chase and shooting that happened in two counties.
Online court records show that Clinton Mayotte will be charged with more crimes in Portage County.
She is already being charged in Wood County. He is still being held on a $2 million cash bond.
The charges come from a fight in the home on August 20. After he left the scene of the crime around 12:30 a.m., police tried to find him. He was finally found by officers in Portage County, which is nearby.
Investigators say he did not stop when police tried to stop him. He is charged with firing a gun and hitting the police cars. No police officers were hurt.
The original news report said that his car was broken down near Wisconsin Rapids’s 8th Street and East Grand Avenue. Investigators said he kept shooting at police and then ran away.
Not long after that, he was found on a roof near 9th and Grape Street by a drone. Police said he fired at them while he was on the roof. He was shot again by police, who then arrested him and took him to the hospital.
Several law enforcement organizations helped with the situation. These police departments are in Portage and Wood Counties, as well as Grand Rapids, Nekoosa, Stevens Point, and Marshfield.
She is charged with five counts of attempted first-degree intentional murder in Wood County, along with three other charges. He has to go back to court on Oct. 10 to find out if his case will go to war.
