A younger son from a wealthy man’s second marriage inherits nothing but an old trunk and two half-brothers who will divide $2.5 million to mock him. But everything changes when he discovers what is in the trunk.
George Trent was very rich, but most of it came from a business that his late first wife’s father started. When he wrote his will, he thought it was only fair that all of his money go to his children from his first marriage.
When George died suddenly, his three sons were called to a meeting with the family lawyer. The lawyer told the boys how their dad had handled his estate.
He would give his two older sons, Matt and Guy, $2.5 million each. His youngest son, Jay, would get an old trunk full of memories.
The lawyer looked at Jay and said, “Please do not think that your dad loved you less, Jay.” He really cared about you and thought that you would enjoy and benefit from the things in the trunk the most.
Jay gave a smile. “I know my dad loved me, and this will mean more to me than having millions of dollars in the bank.”
