Though they may not be as well-known, the three games at the top of our list of the Top 10 College Football Predictions Against the Spread should be intense offensive battles.
Use these three games to at least enjoy the show.
10 Best College Football Predictions Against the Spread: Week 9, Top 3
3. Kent State at Western Michigan
Line: Point Total 60.5
Pick: Over
Given the possibility that Kent State could return to the bus after Kalamazoo with only six points, this is most likely too high on the list. That’s what it did in the defeat to Bowling Green last week.
But in four of the six FBS games, the Golden Flashes let up 52 points or more, and they gave up 37 points or more to every other FBS club.
throughout the past three weeks in Western Michigan? It scored 45 against Buffalo, 34 against Akron, and 45 against Ball State. The Broncos will carry out the majority of the work, but Kent State will assist.
2. Tulane at North Texas
Line: Tulane -7.5
Pick: Tulane
I was completely twisted up by this game.
An over-machine is North Texas. loads and loads of points, poor defense, and a fantastic offensive. The total score for the loss against Memphis last week was 96. The victory for Florida Atlantic reached 78 points. South Alabama scores 90, Texas Tech scores 87, Wyoming scores 61, and Tulsa scores 72.
However, the fact that this one is at 69.5 contradicts my steadfast opinion that you should never, ever take the over when the total is around 70. There are too many potential problems.
(However, I won’t say anything if you want to take control.)
Texas Tech and Memphis were two strong teams that North Texas faced. It was defeated by Texas Tech by 45 and Memphis by 8. Although Tulane hasn’t performed well in a long time, it has won eight points or more in each of its last four games.
And lastly…
1. New Mexico at Colorado State
Line: Point Total 62.5
Pick: Over
1) Not only have I hit – I think – just one of my No. 1 picks against the spread, I haven’t even been close.
2) So no, I won’t feel insulted if you do play the momentum and fade this, but …
3) That’s no fun. Join the party.
As I mentioned in previous picks, if something doesn’t work, sometimes you tip your cap, have a great afternoon, and go to sleep knowing that you did this correctly.
This point total ought to be close to 70. And why? 50, 52, 50. New Mexico has performed that way in each of the previous three games.
The Lobos have an excellent offense, no defense, and have only lost one of their seven games this season with a score of less than 63 points.
It may be necessary to pull Colorado State to the end, but it will eventually make it.
