No matter how good you think your analytics are, they will not help you unless you see the blocking, tackling, and overall feel of how the teams are playing.
The state of Florida comes next.
It is 6ā5. There is no way that Florida could be ranked that high because everyone automatically thinks of any 6-5 team. But there is a reason it is 6-5.
TCU at Tennessee, Georgia at Texas, Miami at Texas A&M. Five games were lost, and all of them were against teams ranked in the top 15.
That does not explain why we ranked the Gators so high on its own, but how they played against LSU and now Ole Miss changes the story.
Arizona State is playing really well. I think Missouri should get a little more credit for their win over Oklahoma a few weeks ago. Early in the year, SMU lost to BYU, but they are playing better now.
