President-elect Donald Trump is facing criticism for offering to buy a young Black girl’s hair for “millions.”
In a now-viral video, Trump appears to be driving a buggy at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach when he confronts a Black girl about her hair.
In the video, the president-elect stopped his golf cart and said, “Oh, I love that girl.” “I love your hair.” “I want her hair!”
Trump asked the girl if he could “buy” her curly brown hair for “millions.” He seemed to really like it.
He asked, “May I buy your hair?” “I’ll pay you millions for that.”
In response to Trump, the girl seemed to say, “I voted for you.”
Trump replied, “I voted for you too.”
Trump is said to have then asked the girl to take a picture with him on his golf cart.
People on social media were furious about what the former and future president did.
“Slavemaster talk,” wrote one X user.
“He does not understand how buying black girls may be a bad look because in his circles, buying black women is the norm,” a person said.
“Hey Trump, you can not just buy Black kids,” said a third person.
