On Tuesday, social media users were shocked by Vice President Kamala Harris’s first video message to her supporters after the election.
The official X account for the Democratic Party shared the video, which showed Harris talking directly to followers who were down after the election.
“I need to remind you again: do not let anyone take away your power.” You still have the same power and goal as before November 5. You can also engage and inspire people in the same way. “So do not ever let anyone or anything take away your power,” Harris said.
A lot of X users were talking about Harris’s appearance in the video. They said there was something “off” with the vice president and were shocked that it was made public.
“Is this a…joke?” asked DC Examiner contributor Kimberly Ross. The video is awful. “Yikes.””I am not sure if you guys want to make this worse. Fox News contributor Joe Concha made a joke, “There is something…off with the vice president.”
Author Mary Katharine Ham wrote in OutKick, “When you give someone your phone to check your social media posts when you are going hard, you want to give it to someone who likes you.”
Dan McLaughlin, a senior writer for National Review Online, said, “This kind of video would never have been released by a politician whose staff does not hate her.”
“The joy is gone,” the Republican Committee of Prince William County thought.
Ben Williamson, a former advisor to Trump in the White House, said, “I read a 5,000-word article on how this got approved for release.”
With a facepalm emoji, American Principles Project president Terry Schilling wrote, “They would not let her go on @joerogan but they let her do this.”
“Who believed this was a good thought? For whom is this meant? Why do you need this? What does she even mean? “I will say it again: we are ruled by idiots,” Tyler Austin Harper, a contributing writer for The Atlantic, asked.
Political reporter for National Review Jim Geraghty said, “The message ‘do not let anyone take your power from you’ is perhaps less than ideal as a theme during the peaceful transfer of power.’”
The video reportedly came from a call Harris had with donors and volunteers earlier today. On the call, she talked about losing the election for the first time since she gave up and conceded to Trump.
